Our Story
Bright Unity Society began in 2019 with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a space where children with special needs could feel supported, valued, and celebrated. Over the years, what started as a small idea has grown into a vibrant community of families who uplift and inspire one another.
For the past five years, we’ve been dedicated to fostering friendships, building confidence, and creating moments of joy for children and their families. Through group activities, shared experiences, and unwavering support, we’ve seen countless smiles, milestones, and lasting bonds form.
Our mission remains the same: to ensure every child feels seen, heard, and embraced for who they are. Together, we’re creating a brighter, more inclusive world—one family, one connection, and one smile at a time.

Who Are We?
We, Sohum and Kanaad, are students at Carnegie Mellon University with a shared passion for bringing joy and laughter to children worldwide. What began as an idea during our high school years has grown into a meaningful and interactive social club designed to create lasting memories and connections. At Bright Unity Society, every session is carefully designed to be both fun and meaningful. We aim to create an environment where children can explore, learn, and grow while feeling supported and celebrated. Each session starts with icebreakers to encourage laughter, spark curiosity, and help everyone feel at ease. These activities set the tone for a welcoming and inclusive space where friendships can blossom.
From there, we dive into an exciting journey to a different "location of the day." Whether it's an adventure in the Amazon Rainforest, a mission to Mars, or a discussion about climate change in the Arctic, these explorations connect science, creativity, and current events. Through hands-on activities, children are encouraged to think critically and express themselves in unique ways. Every session ends with meaningful discussions that tie the day's activities to real-world challenges, fostering a sense of curiosity and understanding. At Bright Unity Society, our sessions are more than just activities—they're opportunities to inspire, educate, and bring joy to every child who joins us.
